I would have been seeing batteries a lot more than I remember.Īlso, apparently AI partners ex option works to help collect batteries on her phase if you just want any way to get past her. You’d be forgiven for thinking that the title of twin-stick shooter Assault Android Cactus+ wasn’t just randomly generated by a computer. From what I can remember from my S+ runs I doubt hers affects point scaling. Either way, 5 - 10 seconds should be fairly safe, lol. you know, I've never tested whether her battery meter causes point scaling in there or not. Once it has been about that long since the last battery switch to killing the other enemies near you where you're safe.

Use that time to shift the distribution of enemies closer to you. Also, you're safe to kill enemies around her for about 5 - 10 seconds after a battery has spawned without having to worry about another one spawning.

Try to keep getting wings while fighting her they'll help with battery collection. I'd recommend trying to keep power ups down before she shows up and get any wings that are available before it switches. I would kind of recommend Holly or Starch since they have homing attacks that can deal with Liquorice a bit easier although, Peanut's charge does sound usefull, and they all do have their own advantages on that fight. Xaxazak covers most the stuff that will help. You don't need every battery, or to complete the fight with S+ conditions, you just need to get more batteries than her. For now, while just looking to clear it, you can drag the fight out. I personally like using Aubergine so you can hide behind pillars while attacking Liquorice.ĭifficulty in AAC is what rank / score clear you're going for in a way.

I feel that Peanut's one of the best for Liquorice because you can just switch to drill whenever a battery spawns. Once you've got it it doesn't matter if you get knocked down. When a battery drops, if you're not able to safely get it easily, consider just switching to secondary (for the invulnerability) and just diving in to grab it. IIRC she will eventually start to focus on targetting robots when she's low on battery, so when this happens you need to start killing robots far from her to reduce the chance she'll spawn a battery near her. You don't need to be killing enemies non-stop in the final stage - once you're ahead of Liquorice in battery, you can just focus on staying away and staying alive - you might even want to stop firing (except at her) so you don't accidentally kill robots close to her that drop batteries. Try to anticipate when a battery is about to drop, then when it's almost ready, either try to only kill her (then kill robots as fast as you can while she's down), or try to kill enemies much further from her than from you (so you'll have a high chance of getting the battery first).
